The Pro Balancer story is about a Native Floridian horse family that is like many equestrians across the globe, they love horses!

We all have come across that one horse that made us scratch our head! I'm sure you have all said or heard the following statements.  What is wrong with that horse? Why does he act that way? He just doesn't get it, he's stupid!  That horse is dangerous, he needs put down before someone gets hurt!  

Like you, the Roberts found themselves in a similar position. There was this one horse........

David and Diane Roberts grew up in Central Florida and met because of horses.  David was involved in rodeo and other horse events throughout his youth.  Diane can't remember a time when she wasn't on the back of a horse. In her teenage years she was involved in drill teams, gymkhana,  and rodeo events.   She became the Florida High School Rodeo Queen and competed all over the U.S.

David and Diane met while entering a partnered speed event together. They were married in the early 70's and had a son, Jason.  They were known in Central Florida as successful  business owners as well as a rodeo family..

One day a horse came into their program that changed everything. David realized after working with this horse for sometime that he had to come up  with something different and better than what was offered on the market for training aids.  With a combined 60  plus years experience in training his own horses this entrepreneurial pair invented the most complete tool for any age of rider in any discipline in the equestrian world.

The Pro Balancer works from two vantage points.  One from the nose and the other from the bit.  The bit gives you more leverage but unless you are a professional who trains everyday, you may too slow in the release.  This means you will miss the learning moment for the horse.

In the first year of a horses life we begin our communication with a halter.  They learn to yield and give to pressure with the halter.  The Pro Balancer has the same feel and contact as the halter so the horse  is comfortable with it.  They understand it because it has been a part of communication between human and horse since they can remember.  

The Pro Balancer also helps us to keep the horses head at a nice balanced level so their body stays supple and rounded out through their spine.  When this happens the horse stays in their thinking mind. Because of the nose contact we are able to keep contact in a way that the horse can't push through the bit and get away from us and put their head in the air.   This is important because we do not want our horses head above it's withers because their mind goes into  flight or fight and the thinking mind is gone.   When the horse is in this mind it can lead to potentially bad situations or injury to you or your horse.  At the very least no learning happens during this time.  

The Pro Balancer therefore allows us to keep our horse in a learning mind, supple body, and helps us always be in time with the release of pressure needed to give the horse the ah ha moment to learn!
