Please reach us at equineprobalancer@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

The Equine Pro Balancer is a training aid designed to create clearer communication by using two points of contact in the order horses understand best: nose first, then bit, followed by an immediate, consistent release.

It delivers a layered cue: Nose (first ask) → Bit (supporting ask) → Release (learning moment).
This helps many horses understand the request without feeling trapped or overwhelmed in the mouth.

It can help many horses by offering a calmer conversation and more consistent release. Horses that have been mishandled often need time, patience, and steady handling, the Pro Balancer supports that process by reducing escalation and improving understanding

Pain can create or intensify resistance. If behavior is new, worsening, or extreme, rule out dental issues, ulcers, saddle fit, hoof soreness, or injury. Better communication works best when the horse is physically comfortable.

Some horses are naturally more reactive, dominant, or sensitive. Those horses typically need more clarity and consistency. The Pro Balancer supports communication without immediately escalating equipment.

No. It’s a tool that supports correct training by helping the rider deliver clearer cues and more consistent release.

Before (Common Signs)

  • Heavy in the hands / pulling
  • Head tossing, gaping, grabbing the bit
  • Bracing through the neck, hollow back
  • Rushing, ignoring “whoa,” or inconsistent steering
  • Anxiety, anticipation, or shut-down behavior
  • Overreaction to contact or being “caught in the mouth”

Week 1: De-escalation & Understanding

  • Less emotional blow-up around contact
  • More consistent “try” when asked to stop or turn
  • Softer responses when the cue begins at the nose
  • Rider feels more “in conversation” vs. in a tug-of-war

Weeks 2–3: Softer Patterns Begin

  • Less bracing through jaw/poll
  • Smoother transitions and better follow-through
  • Steadier rhythm (less rushing or resistance)
  • Steering begins to feel lighter and more predictable

Weeks 4–6: Better Balance & Reliability

  • Improved consistency in stopping and turning
  • More willingness to stay connected without anxiety
  • More lift through topline as brace reduces
  • Rider can ask with less escalation and get more response

Ongoing: Foundation That Carries Over

  • Clearer communication becomes habit
  • Softer mouth and calmer mind become the “new normal”
  • The horse becomes easier to ride for more than one rider
  • Better confidence for horse and rider across environments

Note: Progress depends on the horse’s history, comfort level, and rider consistency. Horses with pain or deep fear patterns may require additional time and professional support.

The Equine Pro Balancer is designed to support clearer communication and humane training principles. It is not a substitute for proper horsemanship, correct riding, or professional instruction.

If a horse’s behavior is new, escalating, severe, or unpredictable, we strongly recommend ruling out contributing factors such as:

  • dental discomfort
  • ulcers or digestive discomfort
  • saddle fit and tack issues
  • hoof soreness or lameness
  • musculoskeletal pain or injury

Horses learn through consistency and release, and the best results come when training is paired with appropriate horse comfort, conditioning, and care. Always introduce new equipment thoughtfully in a safe environment, and seek guidance from a qualified trainer when needed.

Equestrian activities involve inherent risks.

Always ride and train responsibly.
